I think he just used the history to make a fun animation. I’m pretty sure he knew Yoko wasn’t the cause of the breakup.

But, now that I think about it, this brushes the fact that John was actually the abuser for the first half of his/Yoko’s relationship.

This is a horrible thing to do to a child.
